We need to store the original inception date against MTA's to use on docs and in reports. we would like to show the period as the original period and an adjustment date which shows the date the MTA incepted.

Perhaps this could be resolved by adding [original_inception] and [MTA_inception] fields with the original [policy_inception] field left as is? This would then not cause issues for exisitng documents & reports?
John, That would work perfectly.
If anyone has examples of how they do this currently or any work rounds I would love to hear.
Just to clarify the situation here is that the documents are being raised on the MTA case record which has its own Inception and Expiry Dates.
The best solution would be to call the existing dynamic fields original policy inception date and original expiry date and then rename the MTA ones MTA Inception Date and MTA Expiry Date.
As a temporary workaround you could add 2 date fields to your question set and populate this at inception with the original dates.
These could then be used in all documents as they would be copied to ant MTA records
Colin,
I think that this is what we will have to do but it is a manual process which does detract from the fact that the system autoquotes. Is there any way to automate the copying of the inception date into a question when the status changes to "On Cover"? I cant see a way to do this with rules and there is no specific "On Cover" Matrix.
Cheers.
Not as far as I know Mark, we are still discussing this here at the moment
Colin,
Is this likely to be in the January release?
Cheers.
